Birendra Mukhiya A residents of Govindpur village from Saharsa District's on the viral video recorded catching the Genetic Dolphins found on Kosi river, killing and taking it to the home.
However, some people warned him to leave the Dolphin's and explained him doing such activities comes under severe criminal act. A man continue to drag the Dolphin's and took him to the home where his family member posed for photographs with Dolphin's. As words spread several people from village gather on the spot to see the dolphins and started recording.
After the video went viral on multiple social media platform, officials from Forest department and other administrators filled an FIR against the man and will be arrested once caught.
What Law Says?
According to the LAW in India hunting or killing any aquatic animals or Protected mammals are recorded under severe criminal offence. Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 is an act created to protect the plants, animals, species and their natural homes from hunting , killing or destroying.
Officials from Forest department and Administrators filled an FIR against the man Birendra Mukhiya who caught and killed the Genetic Dolphin on Kosi River and would be arrested.
A Forest department team also visited the site and began examine the surrounding incidents.
